Nancy O'Dell's initial job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger instruction for the state's authorities. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. She's reported on major events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys.
